I have been given an IWC with nornal time, day, date, and tehn above two small wndows with year and month. I am not sure how to change the month, the rest is set-up all ok, but the month needs altering.

It has three "things" sticking out of the wathc (sorry non-technical. The middle one, winds and when pulled out can alter the time. The other tworedfacen at 20clock and one at 4 oclock can push in and turn. But i havent a clue how they work and how it sequences, and have no instruction booklet. I don't want to screw the watch up, so wondered whether any of you have a knowldge of these and can guide me through what to do.

cheers, woolfie.

What model IWC is it? (sounds like a perpetual model?)

On the flieger models, the normal crown (one in the middle) has a few positions as you pull it out (wind/day, date change/time change). On the day date change you turn it one way to adjust the date and the other way to do the day.

I would imagine the two pushers would adjust year and month.

If you know the model, you may well be able to get the manual for it from the IWC site (www.iwc.ch).

sorry no pics, it has the open movement on the bottom part of the dial, with a cross peice (like a single [propellor) then at 9 0'clock it has the days in a separate dial; and at 3 o'clock it has the date. Then just under the IWC below 12 oclcok it has two dials left the year and right the month (in letters).

all very confusing.

Sounds like a fake...

IWC do not make a watch with an open apeture between centre and 6, with chrono (3 buttons) and a Perpetual calender (day, date, month, year).

They make chronos and perpetual calenders, and even a tourbillon (the open escapement apeture, which shouild rotate 360 degrees every 60secs). They've only made one which combined all three; the 125th anniversary 'Il Destriero Scafusia' which had the tourbillon on the back. This beauty sold new at well over £100k!

i reckon you are right (just did a search) - fake / replica; no worries though I like the look of it, still trying to work out how to alter it tho.

Does it have smaller faces for a chronograph (stopwatch) ?
The middle crown may have many functions, depending on how far you pull it out.

A picture would, indeed, say a thousand words...

If its a fake it may not actually change of course - have you tried simply adjusting the time forwards until you go past the month end to see if the month even changes?
