Whilst digging around I came across a Girard Perregaux on Chronomaster, now sold, but basically a nice, plain timeless watch, similar to their current "Classique Elegance" but thicker (and cheaper!).

http://www.chronomaster.co.uk/New%20Watches%201.ht... about 2/3 down.

Have to say I really liked the look of it - any suggestions on where to keep an eye on other than eBay for something similar?

timezone.com although most are US and don't ship to UK - may wait a while for one to turn up
tz-uk.com - small site - may wait a while

www.chrono24.com - this offers a massive selection

Cheers for those - very useful looking sites :thumb:

So, any suggestions on something that has the right quality and that kind of understated vintage feel?

I've seen several nice Eterna's that New Old Stock but presumably a 40-50 year old watch will still look worn/have a patina on the dial etc..?
