Did you read the customs charges for parcel farce though? Around a £12 'processing charge' from them. Urine simmered nicely for a while at that.

Yeah, If the second watch hadn't sailed through I would have been a bit miffed as the duty was only £8.50, the rest went to the "farce". But it's hard to get angry about it when the really expensive package cruises through at the same time though. I almost enjoyed paying the charges they did apply.

As for savings. The first watch isn't available in the UK at all, but the equivalent watch is by Nixon (but not as well made) and the UK price on that one is around £350. The second watch is also pretty(very) rare so UK price is accordingly high(inflated) eek

In fact I have never bought a watch from abroad and had the UK customs charges take it over UK price. I have always saved money (Quite a few times the savings have run into the hundreds)

I've bought many things from the States and even with full customs and duty charges they are often cheaper, you just have to factor in this when ordering. If it comes through with nothing added then it's a great bonus.

I have actually found that normal airmail works better than paying for these courier companies like Fedex, DHL etc.

yes
Never go for something that only saves £20-30 total as you could loose this saving through customs depending on the voerall costs.

The best post method for jumping customs I have found is USPS Express. There must be a valid reason but I have never had a USPSE parcel stopped by customs. Standard USPS Airmail gets stopped 50% of the time, but never the Express variant in my experience.

Very happy with it. Stunning quality and had more positive comments this week than at any other time, in fact it even makes you a little self aware hehe . Pretty much everyone who see's it instantly wants to try it on.
