Why not try Bicester village. They have a Tag outlet shop

I would imagine there genuine. Just make sure they come with the manufacturer's warranty and not their own...
When buying a TAG have a good shop about as there are many UK internet based company's that offer a good discount.

I've been having a look about and aatime.com seem to be cheaper still, anyone used them?

Their warrenties page seems confusing though:

AATime.com said:
All watches are covered by their respective manufacturers 2 year warranty which is backed up by AAtime's warranty.

All watches purchased from AAtime.com are guaranteed genuine, brand new, in original condition with all boxes, warranty paperwork and cards, instruction manuals, serial numbers, etc.

Notice: AAtime.com offers genuine brand name watches at substantial discounts to the manufacturer's suggested retail price. Because of our discounted pricing, we are not "Authorised Dealers" as defined by the manufacturer.(see purchase terms) All of our watches are genuine and authentic, all watches are new. We buy our watches through authorised dealers and distributors and other established lines of distribution within the watch industry.
I thought the manufacturers warranty only applied when the watch was supplied by an authorised dealer?

Can anyone shed any light?

Thanks

As there not an authorised dealer they cannot issue a manufacturers warranty, so im led to believe although someone may correct me.
If you buy from company's that only issue there own warranty then you only have one place to go if there is a problem with the watch. If they stop trading then you have none. Also watch with a manufactures warranty is always going to command a better resale than the same watch with a regular warranty.

I won't be selling the watch so resale value isn't an issue. I am more concerned about the warranty and whether it will be valid.

Just the basic aqua racer with the black face (WAB1110 i think), nothing fancy but I like it and it fits into my price range, as I said resale value is not of importance as I won't sell it.

I've bougth 3 watches from AA time, 2 cheap ones (£500) and and expensive one. The watches have been brand new with all boxes and packaging.
You don't get a manufacturers warranty as such instead aatime provide one. At the end of the day though its a Swiss watch not a mercedes so you seldom need to make a warranty claim and watch warrantys are usually 2 years anyway.

Prestigetime.com are also good, ive ordered from them and so has a friend, yes I know theres the customs import duty but if it passes throught he net then theres even more savings to be had.

we had an interesting issue with this company

my wife wanted to buy me a replacement strap for my monaco for my birthday. the strap they sent was for a monaco fitted with a deployment clasp - mine has a buckle

initially they refused to give a refund saying it was against their policy eventhough they did not specify at the point of sale what its spec was.

a stroppy email later and we got a full refund smile

Somthing not quite right with them, cant quite put my finger on it, maybe because they say they have just about every watch in stock, I have never seen a place with all monaco's in stock, maybe because they charge extra for credit card sales etc

They are also trying far to hard to pursade the punter they are genuine, eg we must be because we have a credit card machine (then only accepting transfers from overseas)

They are not that much cheaper either, the £1600 monaco is only about £180 cheaper then you can buy them from here (switzerland) and last time I checked the prices here and the uk where more or less the same.

Personally I wouldn't touch them

I've dealt with them, and they were top-notch. Watches come from Far East, hence discount.

Personally would agree to avoid it. Always better to retain the option of having a shop to go to if there is a problem.... not entirely sure that the watches come from the far east is heartening.
