I’m going on holiday to Dubai and intending to by Breitling Chrono Superocean.
Can anybody recommend a good retailer in Dubai or give an idea on what sort of saving I will make over purchasing in the UK.

Ive always found the USA cheaper than Dubai...last year I was in Dubai on business for 10 days and hell bent on treating myself to a new watch, but when I did the maths, and taking into account very rarely did any of the mainstream places I went to want ot offer any real discount, I gave it a miss.

You can get a return to NYC cheap enough these days - make a weekend of it...with the exchange rate as it is, and a lot of dealers willing to offer 10-30% discount you can usually save quite a bit

I'm in Dubai and having recently aquired a Tag Carrera at their 'best price' it isn't much better here, if at all, than the UK.

Unfortunately, Dubai isn't the cheapo place it used to be.

can only really echo those sentiments, shame as it used to be as good as singapore but those days are long gone frown Still a good deal to be had if you're a frequent buyer, but for the odd one or two battering them down to "best price" still doesn't bring on the savings you'd hope for.

Agreed

Just returned from Dubai with a Carrera, minimal difference in pricing, that goes for the flashy Siddiqi & Sons etc down to the guy in a corner shop.

I saved about 20% on my Breitling bought from a Breitling store in the shopping mall that has sort of a pyramid outside iirc. By the time you have paid UK VAT you are not much better off
