The description is a little grandiose.
Tag had a number of cases made for prototype purposes, but the watch never went into production.
A watchmaker a few here will be familiar with got his hands on the cases, and made them up with, IIRC, a Ronda quartz movement and unsigned dial, and then pretty much gave them away at 50 quid a throw. I bought a few

Rolex Daytona stainless w/ black face
Omega Seamaster planet ocean chrono
Omega Speedmaster day/date
Breitling for Bentley GT racing
Breitling Navitimer heritage
Tag whose model name escapes me at the minute
Seiko kinetic for oily work, faithful old freind which I'm confident will outlast everything in my collection, it's been through hell and still going strong as the day it was bought.
Hoping to lay my hands on a Tag monaco which will be my last one for a long while.

Nice collection, Stu. Seems I'm not alone in a penchant for auto chronos
Is the Daytona Zenith or Rolex equipped?
I've had a couple of white dial Zeniths, but for some reason Rolex are the one manufacturer I can't manage to keep hold of - someone always seems to make a silly offer within a couple of weeks of me getting my hands on one.
Think my record was a President I'd been looking at for ages, finally got to a price I liked, and had for about an hour untill it was bought off my wrist in the pub that evening for +1K.
Oddly enough 2 of the few watches I know I'll never sell are Tudors. Go figure.

The Daytona is brand new, so it's got a Rolex in-house movement in there. I'd much prefer a zenith in all honesty, from my limited knowledge and experience they seem to hold much better time though the "they're crap timekeepers" cliche seems to be quite unjustified if mine is anything to go by. Still the pride of my collection if I'm honest, despite the massive overhyping and mass hysteria. Is the Daytona Zenith or Rolex equipped?

Definately a big lover of auto chronos, though I must admit my biggest problem is getting rid of them, which aside of a couple of Tag's and one god awful breitling I couldn't grow to like I've been unable to do.
Very impressive collection you have there!
Rolex Submariner LV - 50th Anniversary version (green bezel)
1967 Rolex Submariner - no date (5513)
1971 Rolex 'Red' Submariner (1680, Mk 1 metres first dial)
1973 Rolex Explorer (1655 - 'orange-hands')
Will post pics in due course. I'm a Rolex fan as you may have guessed (but I don't sell cars for a living!) - I like the classic looks, rugged engineering and the fact that prices are rising (for the vintage pieces)!
