I prefer this one from chronomaster

£235.

I'd buy it but like most older watches it's 36mm.

I usually go for something bigger.

There are some nice old zeniths in chronomaster also.

Yeah, that is a nices piece but too small. I need a large watch.......maybe I should wait for an all siver coloured watch.

classicwristwatch - "always able to meet any purchaser at Birmingham International Airport, at his or her convenience, in order that I can deliver the piece personally. Prior payment is required."

chronomaster only has a po box

Anyone had experience with either of the companies. bit worrying or am I being paranoid?

Funnily enough, I really like the contrast between the silver face and gold hands and numerals - it sort of balances the contrast between the arabic numerals on the main dial and the dashes on the second-hand dial.

And I know a dress watch should be discreet to the nth degree, but I don't think even the harshest critic could think the watch was anything other than tasteful...

Hi,

I collect vintage watches and have several Omegas in my collection. IMHO the watch in the first post has been redialed. The font used in the "omega" looks wrong and is too close to the symbol. The image also suggests that the number 12 has been done poorly [though perhaps it is due to the camera angle] Anyway to me it does not look right.

With regard to Neil at Chronomaster I have heard nothing but good reports about him. Try this link for reviews of his reliability.

Thanks Tim. Would you recommend anywhere in particular to find an oversize vintage omega (around 39mm)?

I think most omega dress watches were under 36mm. Lots even smaller. I can't think of many vintage dress watches over 39mm, the only vintage Omegas are probably speedmasters. The seamasters, railmaster and deville, even the dress chronographs were all well under 39mm.

HI!

Try looking on the forums here for good Omega advice.

http://www.chronocentric.com/contents/

Also here is good for info on general vintage watches

I think ebay is still quite a good source for vintage if you know what you are doing. I mostly buy from ebay. Never been burned yet!! This guy in London always seems to have a good stock of vintage Omega.
