Jewellers in Marylebone had one last week (new but selling for a customer) - not sure if it is sold. £9k.

edit: New Cavandish Jewellers on Marylebone high St if you want to give them a call

Hmm, CHF 12,500 in last year's catalogue, that's about £5k. Guess if they are sold out it may be appreciating but 1,000 isn't that limited.

The only ceramic in this year's price list (April 07) is the Top Gun edition, £6250.

The topgun sold new in the U.K. for £7,000RRP and has Red Ends on the split chrono hands.

The one the O.P. wants was £6,000RRP but as Max said sells for £9,000 in the U.K. now.

It seems someone on TZ classifieds has one for sale.

Here's one for sale over the pond. No price given but with the dollar in free fall, it might be worth the trip!

Not sure how they arrive at 9k. The movement isn't particuarly expensive, similar ceramic cases are available on cheap Junghan's, while canvas straps are hardly costly. The limited edition tag seems to cost 6k alone. Marketing hype aside, it's a nice piece.

All those nice catalogues they sent out have to be paid for!

The ceramic edition (non- Top Gun) is possibly my favourite watch ever... But for £6.5k (the cost of that one for sale in the US) you can get a lot better movement etc and a 'classier' looking watch... That's a lot of money for something 'sporting'. If it dropped below £5k, I would look again at it seriously!

Has anyone physically seen the Top Gun model? What is your opinion?

Also what is the availability like?
