Any other suggestions?

I'm off to dubai in a few weeks but assuming my chances of sourcing one out there are slim to none.

Anyone considering parting with theirs or know of one for sale in some obscure place?

omega shop on Bond St had a new one 2 weeks ago - give them a ring!

Yes, thats the one. They definitely had one - the manager told me that their reps try to buy them back from smaller dealers who haven't been able to sell them. They then send them back to head office for a checkover and sell them through their boutique stores.

I'm after one too just couldnt warrant paying full RRP at the time

Whats the full RRP on these?

I've noticed the used examples going around 1.5k roughly give or take.

they were £1.6k? new, i will need to see what i paid for mine as i bought another watch for the wife at the same time

i got a deal on mine from goldsmiths same price as a normal speedy at the time 1400 quid'ish if i remember correctly. Great watches, i love it much more than the sub i had

Yep bit of a minefield there mate!

So RRP is about 1.6k, second handers seem to be about 1.5k.

Would obviously prefer new but will go for a used one if it becomes available.

i was in goldsmiths yesterday looking at the new 1 and told her i didn't need 1 as i was just looking. then my daughter says dad you don't wear the others, so i told her about my watches and said big demand for snoopy's and were a sound investment especially for the kids

but i work in engineering and wear mine every day, may be i need to get something else as well so as not to ruin it. i have thought about it before as i think that sort of defeats the object of having a nice watch though
