Does anyone know how much this would be assuming the watch went back to Rolex?

It's a SS Datejust, not sure exactly which dial, odds are something white and very basic.

Which model Datejust do you have, is it a 16200/16220/16234?

If the watch goes back to Rolex, they will supply and fit a dial only when they carry out a full service on the watch. The dial should cost about £250 and the service is circa £200.

I bought an old Rolex Date that was in need of a little TLC, and while I was having it sorted I had the dial changed from nasty Pink, to silver, bare in mind that if you change colours drasctically you'll need a new date reel as well wink
Mine needed a new glass, the hands refitting, well new hands in the end, the crown reatatching, and the dial/reel change, total bill £150 smile

Obviously this wasn't at the hands of Rolex, I have a man I trust to sort out all my watch needs. wink

I have a quote in front of me as I was going to have this done by Rolex in London. A black faced dial, plus a service is £351 all in. The Dial is £150 plus VAT. This was in May.

Hope this helps.

Ouch!! Tbh that's more than I'm willing to pay as it doesn't need a service.

Dominic H has PM'd me and seems a sensible option - be interested in any feedback from PH'ers who have used him smile

Had the dial changed through Dominic, hope feedback is allowed here, suffice to say top bloke to deal with and the watch looks much, much better IMO with a white dial than silver.

Slight off-topic - where would I find such an old Rolex that needs a little TLC? eBay?
