Anyone any thoughts about Chopard Mille Miglia watches. I can't seem to make my mind up whether I like them enough. Are the internals any good. Everyone knows about the usual suspects, but outside of classic racing I never heard much about their watches.

Friend has one cos his father does the race and gets one each time i beleive. Im my opinion if you cant make your mind up then you really dont want it enough. by something your 100% up for then there less risk of making a mistake. I dont by a watch unless i KNOW I want it.

Just my two pence

Fair enough. My first choice was (is) an Omega Speedie, saphire front and display back with the black leather deployment clasp. I like the Broad Arrow but the old budget can't stretch that far.

Just wondered if going "different" was an option. I think I'd come to the same conclusion - if it doesn't leap out the page then I can't want one that bad.

I really like them!! Has to be the stainless version with the sapphire back, black face with sub dials, not sure of model no, but very nice! retails at about £3200.00 tried one on in Edinburgh and thought it was a great watch!

Hang on, I'm assuming you mean a Broad Arrow rather than a Speedie, otherwise I'm stuffed.

I've got a Mille Miglia (just can't say it), love it to bits. I am nervous that at some point I may find the tyre-tread strap a bit naff but for now I think it's great.

I bought mine from http://www.collectorstime.com. I was a bit worried about buying from overseas but it saved quite a bit of cash.

I had a Miglia (not the current one) and liked the look of it but felt it was a bit lightweight and fragile looking, the new model looks bigger in pics but i am not sure if this is the case

Don't do it - I know of two that have had winding mechanism failures. I fear the internals may not be up to much...

Rick, no its a Mille Miglia GMT but not sure of model no. The stainless strap makes it more appealing to me (also heavier) but costs about an extra £800 (approx) just for the strap!!
