Going to NY in 3 weeks.. Any experience of watch prices out there - Rolex in particular ? Current exchange rate at 2/1 - it must present a discount of some description as opposed to UK pricing ?

Any help appreciated !

Definatly cheaper buying in the US with
the exchange rate as it is..........I bought lots in NYC when i was last there, 47th street IIRC, there is loads of good shops, there is a "indoor market" type place with lots of dealers under one roof, the prices are keen

I think Rolex in particular fix prices so that they are not much cheaper in different countries. Certainly new GMT 11, Submariner and sea dweller models were a simillar price when I was there a few months ago. In certain states prices don't include tax so be carefull that you're getting all the info.

Second hand are a lot cheaper than U.K. second hand prices.

In some states I've even seen new models being more expensive than the U.K.
