Personal opinion vomit but if you like it then crack on, it's purely your choice.

It's not my cup of tea but as you're asking what people think. . .

To me, Gucci is a fashion house who make fashion watches. Perhaps girls can be excused for wearing Gucci watches but i'm not sure they're very blokey.

As always,it's up to you really. Do you like it?

It is not my cup of tea but you might be able to pass it on for a profit.
Other than that just buy what you like and if you like it then buy it.

Can anybody suggest something more masculine for around £400?

I could buy it for profit but would i be able to move it on? who knows?

Don't want to make an impulse purchase and regret it later smile

Dont buy the gucci unless you really like it!! You should be able to find a much better watch than this for your budget.. its not a proper timepiece and more a piece of jewellery to be honest.

A Seiko SBDA001/3/5, £130. The Gucci is simply vile, sorry, just is if you ask me.

have to agree - it's not one i'd buy. if you like the look of it great - go ahead, but it would just be a piece of jewelery - not a *good* watch

There are a number of vendors who are producing reproductions/reissues of military (read masculine) watches, inclusing some chronos.

CWC do a few good watches, all built to UK military specs - http://www.cwcwatch.com/ - including a nice reissue of the 1970's mechanical chrono - http://www.silvermans.co.uk/Silver/docs/productpic...

Eddie Platts does some nice kit too - http://www.timefactors.com - and has recently introduced a chrono - http://www.timefactors.com/precista.htm. The dial is a bit busy for me though.

Bill Yao in the US - http://www.mkiiwatches.com - does some nice watches, no chronos yet, but some really nice renditions of vintage watches - http://www.mkiiwatches.com/CategoryProductList.jsp...
