Hi, long time lurker here!

I've had a Tag Heuer Carrera for just under a year now and have been very impressed with it.

The only trouble is that I managed to scratch the glass face the other day when I scraped past a concrete block.

Its not a major scratch but its annoying me as the rest of the watch is perfect.

Does anyone know of any methods that I can use to remove the scratch?

By the way its this watch - http://www.tagheuer.com/the-collection/carrera/aut...

Thanks for your help!

Are you sure you have scratched the sapphire not just the anti reflective coating? If it's just the coating you can either leave it as you'll get more scratches in the future or try to remove the coating completely with something like a watch cleaning cloth. Cape cod make a suitable one for this.

If it's the sapphire then you cant really do anything except replace the sapphire. I don't think stuff like polywatch will help on sapphire although it could perhaps help remove the AR coating.

If it's anything like the sythetic sapphire crystal on Rolexs then it can be polished off by a jewler. I had a few scratches on mine (due to drunkeness drunk ). I firstly took it to Watches of Switzerland and they said they couldn't do anything (they also gave me lots of dirty looks). I then took it to another, independent, rolex specialist and he polished it out. Good as new. However, I managed it to chip it only a few weeks later! frown

Thanks for the replys fellas.

Having looked closely at the glass I think its just the Anti Reflective coating that has scratched, not the actual glass.

I think I'll have to get over it or attempt to remove the coating.

Thanks again!
