I've been trying to find a Speedmaster Snoopy and Gemini 4 for a while now, but haven't had any luck. Aside from a few on Ebay US and Japan I can't see any for sale, and none at any dealers.

Any hot tips from anyone? I can walk into a jewellers here in London and buy a 1969 Paul Newman Daytona but can I find a speedmaster? Can I heck!

Blowers have had both in the last few months. Can you leave your name down with them and watches.co.uk?

What about TZ classifieds or do you want a U.K. seller? Some of the Jap ebay stores sell loads of speedys don't you fancy ebay?

I'll have a look at blowers and do keep an eye on watches.co.uk.

I don't really fancy ebay or TZ (non-uk) as the import duty would be massive - which I resent paying - and don't want to risk lowballing the declared value to dodge it. Worse come to the worse I'll buy from abroad though.

I know they are an old limited edition (still almost 6000 made though, so not *that* limited, really) - I'm quite happy to buy a second hand one if I can find one!

Loads! There is a picture of a box set of all editions on here somewhere - from the Omega auction. I think I counted about 15!

edit - here it is! 23 plus the white faced one out at the moment (Apollo 11 I think).

thats quite a collection ... interestingly i don't think its all the "limited edition" speedie moonwatches.

Mine, for example, is not in there (hasten to add, mine is not anything special, but it means a lot to me)

So there are probably others too.

That set was made in 1998 there were only 22 plus the broad arrow in that set. So there are have been a few more limited editions since then. I suppose there must be a good 30 or so by now? Some info here

Quite right - I noticed last night when I had a closer look at the pic. I'm not sure if those watches were made in editions of more than the 40 box sets?

So, aside from the 'missions' box what do we have?

Snoopy (Apollo 13)
Last man on the moon (Apollo 17)
Gemini - first spacewalk
Apollo 15 (first use of lunar rover)
Apollo 11 (the white faced one - I think)

I cant think of any others off the top of my head - any more?

To go off topic slightly, does anyone have any idea how rare a Speedsonic with the lobster bracelet is?

Apollo 11, 35th anniversary of the lunar landing,

Gemini 4, 40th anniversary of the first spacewalk

and the new 50th anniversary of the speedmaster (although not perhaps a moonwatch) limited to 57 pieces. In a nice handmade box with tools and some strange bastard movement inside.

Omega seem to be releasing a new one at Basel each year now.

Raising an old thread here I know but I am looking for one of these at the moment. As they came out a few years ago where would be the best place to look outside of e-bay to get one.

How much would you pay for a snoopy? I may be tempted to part with mine for a good price...

Wow - thread from the past!

I have a Gemini 4 now but am still looking for an Apollo 11.

I'm still interested in the Snoopy but not sure how much I'd pay to be honest. Its kind of on the back burner while I wait for something special I've ordered!
