Toastgirl and I were browsing the shops for her birthday present and were looking at some IWCs which were well out of our price range but the sales guy invited us in and so we tried a few watches on. Toastgirl was especially taken with a Small Da Vinci and I was surprised to note that it was a quartz watch despite being over £2k. I asked the sales guy if it should be a mechanical watch for the price and he replied that women generally aren't interested in the workings and because the watches are generally much smaller they are usually quartz even at high end prices. Purely out of interest, are there any small ladies automatic watches on the market?

hi there.
Omega ladies seamaster is available as an automatic though you pay a little more for it.
