Hi,
Does anybody know of a dealer that stocks the
Hublot Big Bang and Richard Mille range of watches
in the Harrogate / Leeds area?
I'd like to see and compare them in the flesh without
having to go all the way to London.

Wow, great choice.

For the Richard Mille try Time Products (importer) on 0207 416 4160, these Guy's for the Hublot as well. The Marcus store in Bond St has stock on these......

Have fun.

Cheers.
I had seen the Marcus watches website but I was hoping
there would be a dealer closer to home.
What I am thinking though is choosing exactly what I want and
then organising a holiday to the vacinity of the cheapest dealer of said model
and accidentally (from the other halfs perspective) passing by
one day, therefore allowing me to slip it in to the holiday budget smile
Obviously I hope the cheapest place is somewhere like Switzerland rather
than Shorpe!

The Hublot is pretty awful in the flesh - saw a few in New York this week. Not a great looking watch IMHO. In fact, noticed that moat watches on the market these days are extremely garish, especially in the flesh. The Hublot looks much better on screen than in the shop window. Having said that, Richard Milles aren't my cup of tea either - each to their own.

Every dealer in NYC was offering discount when I was looking around.

Just a thought. Since the Le Mans Classic is sponsored by Richard Mille why not hang on til next year and tell the wife you are going off to look at the watch in the flesh then. You might not like them but you'll have had a great time!

After a chat with the guys from Marcus watches and finding out
the price of the Richard Mille model I like (RM011 - £36k !!)
I have to admit defeat and put it on the wish list, so after a
quick re-evaluation it's back to either a Hublot big bang or
Breitling Aerospace Advantage which are a bit more sensibly priced.
(I still might take lowdrags suggestion though smile )

The Big Bang I think I georgous. Hoping to get it myself.

I showed one to a friend of mine and he decided it would be a good idea to get one himself (git).

Anyway, he bought his through www.blitzwatches.co.uk. Now I don't want to recommend them as I've personally had no experience with them, but they seem to have done a quick and decent job at sourcing the watch and accopanying it with everything as should be.

They are pretty heavy and quite outlandish, but that the point of them. At least they're not encrusted with diamonds.

I've only seen the gold ones before - but the stainless/ceramic one on Blitzwatches is yummy. I think if it was a choice between that and a Daytona I'd go for the Hublot.

There is one for sale on Timezone for £3750 (in the US)! Might be a good buy if you get over to that neck of the woods on business.

Like I said before, they look fantatic in hi-res, close up photos - but are a bid OTT in the flesh.

Give Andrew a call at Berrys. Im sure that he will be able to help.

There is a Berrys in the Victoria Quarter, and another further up the hill, past were Mappin & Webb used to be.

Edited to add, he is the Manager of both stores, so giving either a ring will do.
