if you don't get octane or aren't an uber-enthusiast you may not be aware of this, the re-released milgauss. fecking awesome in my book. not too sure abput the movement (..??..) but i have to say style wise this is probably the only rolex i'd want for myself. really very cool.

I've seen the new GMT in the flesh but was unsure of the new styling.

To me the new Yacht master is just terrible. I like the milgauss, I think it's the only new model which will age as well as the previous ones have.

TBH I was quite shocked when I first saw the new range.

Actually upon closer inspection, I agree with you. The shazam/flash Gordon style hand is daft.

Has anyone seen the new GMT II in SS yet?

The 1960-80s ones are selling for up to £60k now (many have the lightening bolt hand - but in silver)!

I have a 50th and a white face on order. They will be in very short supply though frown

The new collection is very dissapointing, just confirming my beliefs that the breand is becoming cheap and tacky.
Not to insut anyone who likes them i just feel in my opinion they are getting dare i say it CHAVY.
I mean having Rolex sprawled across the face like that is just awful.

...I haven't seen one in the 'flesh' yet, but am planning to buy one in a week's time anyway! One of the first in the country! If I go off it in a few months, I'll still get back what I paid for it. smile

it's a bit daft but i like it. overall it's pretty subtle - that's what i liked about it. i know it's got orange bits but it still seems more restrained than many of the others... all imo.

I have tried on the Bi-Colour and have subsequently put down a deposit for 'supposedly' the first one through a certain Manchester store. No confirmed date - just during July. Was going for a Kermit sub -but had a change of heart.
My local jewellers; Cotrills have already got an 'into next year' waiting list for the GMT II! Hadn't thought about going into the commodities marketsmile

at the end of the day as has been said.. who cares really get the one you like. i don't really like the bright red and blue of a rolex gmt but many people do. i like the milgauss but as you'll see from my other thread other people don't like the harry potter secondhand. it's each to their own i say.
