Just a quick FYI heads up to anyone thinking of buying a new watch - Ernest Jones/H Samuel have a pretty good sale on at the moment (I have only seen the two shops on Oxford St though).

Several Omegas are reduced to *very* tempting prices, much cheaper than online - Planet ocean for £1150, Speedmaster moonphase for £1200ish, Seamaster (the big one) £1100, Tag Carrera £895, Reduced size silver speedmaster £750, Speedmaster Broad Arrow £1400 etc etc.

Heads up - these watches will not be new. They are mostly customer returns or refurbs, the jeweller will make this clear up front (hopefully)....if your'e okay with this then there are some bargains to be had smile

I think you are right - they do seem to have been worn, especially those with leather straps (although in the shop they insisted none had been sold and they were from displays).

Knowing this, and using it to my advantage though I just got a Planet Ocean (black, not orange bezel) for £950. Pretty chuffed with the price as I've fancied one for a while.

From the one on Oxford St on the corner of South Molton St (near Bond St tube). It should have been £1150, but the strap was a bit dirty on the inside/stitching so they knocked off the price of a new strap (he had to ask the regional manager though who was in the shop at the time).

2 year warranty etc etc. They have an orange on in for £1250 (or did at lunchtime), plus a few others.

Oh no!!! I actually like the Orange planet ocean but for £750 the peedy could be worth a look as daily wear!!!
