I have seen lots of comments recommending various derivatives of the Speedmaster but wonder why the Carrera is rarely recommended?

I am the owner of a Monaco and I am currently looking for something to complement it and like the look of both the above.

Any comments?

I like the carrera but find the carrera a smaller watch than the speedmaster professional. I like the carrera chronos though and the older ones.

I don't know why but I cant help but think the new TAG Carreras when compared to older heuer carreras are like new minis vs old ones. Nice enough but something is just missing.

I like the speedmaster professional but not the other speedmasters.

Thanks for the response.

Got an idea of why there are few recommending the TAG having just tried on a few watches.

.............. It feels quite cheap compared to the competition, the braclet especially.

TAG's own aquaracer had a far nicer feel to it.

Was actually very taken with a Brietling and tried on the new MASSIVE omega seamaster - as worn by one James Bond rolleyes but getting up towards IWC Aquatimer money
