I am sure lots of you watched the final of "The Apprentice" last night, but did any of you catch a glimpse of his watch in the final scenes?? I think he was sporting a white faced Rolex Daytona (probably white gold) looked like a stainless version, was wondering if anyone could confirm this as would be interested to know if thats his choice of wristwear?? Thanks in advance.....

Exactly the same as mine smile

Rolex Daytona Cosmograph 116520 White Dial: RRP is around £4420 but a 7-10 Year waiting lists brings the buy it now price to £6500 from dealers.

...so overpriced - when for the same money you can buy a Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph. Now THAT is an exquisite watch!! cloud9

i thought it was a white gold one, but fair play if its the steel one.

i have been on the list with goldsmiths for a while, not expecting a call anytime soon either, would proubably sell it straight on for a small return and get a iwc instead.

maybe.

Personally I'd order a stainless steel with red hands and keep £10K in my pocket. Who's going to know the difference?

i would prefer the steel if money was not an issue in the choice.

Depends how long you have to look wink

The WG are polished, where the SS are brushed finished (I think the 2007 now has a polished insert in the bracelet though). There are also a lot more choices of dial finish for the WG version if they are you thing.

You can't have this combination. The red hands are only for the white gold versions. Also these dials have Arabic numbers on them at 1,2,4,5,7,8,10 & 11 o'clock.

I called Rolex to see if I could have the white gold watch face in black on my s/s Daytona, but I was told this could not be done.

Also the polished centre band on the bracelet has been since at least 2005 as that's when I got mine and it has a polished centre section. Also around this time the fat hands were added to the s/s watch which I've also got on mine.

Alan Sugar's Daytona is a steel as it didn't have any numbers on the dial.

I think it was a Zenith Daytona as the chronograph rims were black and not silver.
