Thoguhts on these? Anybody had one/got one?

Seen a couple on steel bracelets for about £1,100 and I want something on a bracelet before the shark skin strap on my current watch wears out. It's either this, an Aerospace (they seem to be about the same price as the B1) or a Seamaster...

I've never been a fan of digital display on 'analogue' watches... But each to their own!

Got one and I'm actually wearing it today. smile
Bought mine new quite some time ago when retail was just shy of £1500 for about £1200ish.
It's quite a big watch and half the features I don't even know how to use, the instruction book for the slide rule is thicker than then the one for the rest of the watch.
It's one of the watches I wear the most and even so it's still looking good, the face, case and strap seem very tough, but then it is quite heavy, overall if you like it and it doesn't look silly on your wrist go for it. rotate

I prefer them to the aerospace, I bought my Dad one for his 60th and he loves it. I'm not sure how it will date though. TBH I wish i'd got him a more 'classic' watch like a submariner or zenith el primero etc

At my work the aerospace is called the clitoris watch as every c**t has one.

I'm not sure that really helps you.

hehe
When I had my medical at Gatwick last year, two of the guys in the waiting room had them on. Also, I met a Tornado pilot whilst doing my first set of ATPL exams. He had a customised one with his squardon's emblem on the face. Apparently they all get issued them cool. Nice watch but not exactly rare!

Personally I'd get the Seamaster.

When I first started looking for my first decent watch, I was really keen on Breitling from the photos I'd seen.

Quality of finish when I saw them in the flesh and tried them on didn't stagger me at all, so I bought something else.

Seamaster exudes quality with very simple, very well done detailing.

I've got one & love it.

S/S with bracelet & black face. It's great. Bought it in 2000. Worn daily since & still in good condition.

It has "night vision goggle" compliant backlighting (ooh wink), and the displays can show the main time, second time zone, UTC time (a third time zone) two alarms, stopwatch, countdown timer, and the day and date.

If you want it to chirp on the hour it will, and that can be governed by the time, or every hour off the stopwatch...

The slide rule is good as well - I use it for KMH / MPH conversions & also GBP to Euro & vice versa.

It's just been back for a new battery (my 2nd change since I bought it new)

Highly recommended - a bit "different"

Chris
