Ladies Watch recomendations please.
Discussion
Have been looking for a new watch for the last couple of months but haven't really seen anything I like in the high street jewellers.
I would like it to be black or silver, sparkly and elegant. Up to about £1000
I know absolutely nothing about watches, and am hoping that someone will be able to point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance.

What about a 2nd hand Cartier Santos in stainless & gold. The wife has an automatic version of this and it's a lovely watch for a lady. I would like it to be black or silver, sparkly and elegant. Up to about £1000

I do like the Santos, but hubby has got one, might look a bit odd if we both had one.

Quartz, I like the look of this one, but it looks a bit chunky, will look at lunchtime if there are any in the high street.
Got my missus the carrera. Bizarrely very dainty wrists but chunky watches look goodTAG Heuer F1/ Formula 1 Glamour Diamonds Sparkling

I like the look of these but one concern is the fabric strap and it's durability - can you ask how much they are to replace?Quartz, I like the look of this one, but it looks a bit chunky, will look at lunchtime if there are any in the high street.
That looks very nice.
I have a Constellation Automatic, it's been back to Omega twice now. First time it was running very fast - gaining about 5 minutes a day, second time because it wasn't "holding it's charge" if you know what I mean - it used to stop the minute I took it off, and I couldn't wind it manually.
Since it came back this time it seems fine (fingers crossed).
Was I just unlucky?

To me, this is a nice ladies watch. The oyster perpetual. You'll pay more for the date function or fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet. Perhaps the pictured 'oyster' bracelet is too masculine?
Rolex have made this watch since around the 60s it's a true classic.
Do people think it's tacky?
Here with date and different bezel and bracelet. The combinations of colour, face, pointers, bracelet and bezel are endless.
People are a bit quick to knock Rolex, these watches are classics.
