Off to New York next week for 5 days. Would love to stumble across a tatty old 1969 Heuer Monaco in a quaint little backstreet vintage watch shop.

Any idea if there is a 'watch district' in NYC?

Going on Thursday. Is there a 'watch' district in NYC like Bond Street area in London?

You might get a shock at just how expensive watches are in NYC...... The exchange rate being good doesn't mean anything when you see the prices over there!

I'm not after a new watch - but most people I speak to have found dealers lopping 25%-30% off retail. No sales tax if you get them to ship the watch out of NYC.

I'm after vintage, so I'll just see what's there.
