It's a big old fake.

Note he doesn't say it's genuine. He even adds he can't confirm it's genuine.

A Genuine Monaco.

Fake ebay one.

The vintage one doesn't say Tag on it.

Rather than trawl ebay try here:
www.heuerboy.com/

I think someone (tonker?) may have bought from there so might be able to provide some feedback.

Well from an investment perspective I can't see how a Tag reproduction is ever going to be worth as much as a genuine Heuer Monaco.

A 70's Monaco is about 2.5K, where as a 90's reproduction is significantly less than 1K. Not sure what they retail for new.

As with certain Rolex models, you could wear it for a while and be pretty sure about getting your money back on an original.

Love to know your watch dealer, the basic F1 on is about £380, so £100 for his pre-owned one sounds about right to me. scratchchin

Sorry not the basic f1 the f1 indy 500, ok not strictly an F1 (although they are the same). But its more then the new price here (Zurich) and last time I looked prices here new where the same as in the UK, that watch is 1100chf here new.

You're looking at about £550ish for one over the counter in the UK (My boss has one and it's really not that nice IMHO ) so £450 isn't that bad for an as new pre-owned example. rotate
