Best place to sell my watch (Breitling Crosswing Racing UTC)

As above, I'm looking to sell my watch but I'd like to sell it on a reputable site- ie I don't want to ebay the thing as I can't imagine genuine buyers would trust the site (I certainly wouldn't spend £3k on there)

Does anyone know of a website specifically for this purpose. My watch is boxed with all papers etc and 100% authentic.
Some idea of a realistic value would be good.
It's in excellent condition has a polished steel gold pilot band, gold bezel, and blue face (the UTC also has blue face and gold surround). Watch was bought new in 2003.

Any pointers are appreciated

Afternoon, you could actually try Ebay. A good watch properly described and photographed, should find a buyer easily. Yes, you have to be careful of scammers/rip-off merchants but as long as you exercise some common sense you'll be fine. As the seller, you'll have no need to release the watch until you have rock-solid cleared funds. I've bought/sold watches upto £8k with out any problems. Forums like Timezone and so on are good, but to reach a wider market in your home country, eBay is worth a shot. Hope this helps....D

How big can I expect the fees to be if the watch is likely to sell for £3.5 - £4.5k (my estimate).

The other issue for me is how to set a realistic reserve price - I obviously want to get as much as possible for it but i'd be throwing money away on the auction if I set it up such that the watch didn't sell

Not sure on fees, have a look on eBay and there is a detailed menu of 'Final sale value' fees. With regard to reserve, I wouldn't bother as there is quite a fee to pay to list an item with a reseve of £3/4k. Most people just list the item with a starting price that they hope to achive, just like a classified listing. Ie, if you're looking for £3500, then thats your starting point.....Have a look to see what similair watches are going for. D.
