As PH seems to be Watch heads time matters, i thought i'd post up my own watch dilemma.

I thought it's about time i brought myself a nice smart watch, i'm willing to spend £600 max, want something i can wear day and night.

I've currently looked a Mont Blanc (profile i think?) which IMHO looked really nice and would go with anything. The jewellery i wear is normally quite understated unless it's costume, normally gold with a small stone, not diamonds.

Regards,
Nicola

Post a pic Nicola.

Of the watch, I should add.

For £600 I would recommend Omega.

I bought one of these for an ex girlfriend. We thought it was really lovely and unusual too. Looks smashing when it's on.

ETA: It's a Hugo Boss and it's called the 'Swing Bangle'. Cost around £350 IIRC.

I've tried that one! Found the thing really unreliable didn't keep time at all, i also think in work situations a watch is expected (don't ask me why!) and if i'm going to wear a watch i might as well wear a nice one.

As for holidays, i go anyway no matter what i buy!!!!

I'm beginning to think I'm missing out on something as I don't wear a watch.

Depends what type of watch you like, they really are a personal thing.

On ladies I find Longines understated and elegant.

Sportier gals I like Tag and Omega.

I do like the Mont Blanc you've pictured though, and the Hugo Boss one above.

(Btw, sorry I missed Sunday at Denby, was nursing the mother of all hangovers after a 5.30 am finish)

Yes - Omega Constellation as worn by Cindy Crawford et al, but you will get more for your money if you buy a warranteed reconditioned used one from a reputable dealer:

(These are ebay dealers)

You can also buy from ebay private sellers - just be careful and know what you ar doing:

Hmmm wouldn't say i'm what you call sporty, unless you can count, to quote Dave "your as mad as any bloke i ever driven with!!" I still can't quite work out if thats a compliment or not...

Sounds like you had a good night out, anyways.

Update later once i've been into Derby.

Have you looked at the Cartier range?
Buy from a secondhand dealer or off fleabay to avoid the huge retailer markup.

You can get a decent Maurice Lacroix watch for £600.00. You can find them in most jewelers and are very understated and elegant. I got one for my 18th and then promtly lost it

Given your budget and stated tastes, I would strongly urge you to look at Mauboussin. (Parisian jeweller - their Place Vendome boutique is fabulous).

The quality and finish are amazing, and they are available discounted at frankly silly money for what you get, especially in comparison to the retail price.

For example:

Really, take a look. You would not be disappointed.
