The wooden omega box my Seamaster came with is my absolute favourite watch box and if that was my only watch I would routinely use it. However I have 4 ‘good’ watches that I wear depending on the occasion and having 4 watch boxes on the bedside table takes up far too much space.
Can anyone recommend a watch box that will hold 5 watches (likely I will buy another watch next year) and is of similar quality to the omega box? It needs to be solid wood and I don’t like boxes with a display window on them.
I am going round in circles searching for the perfect box.
Ideally it will be under £300.

This was on eBay recently and I wish I bought one as I can’t find it anywhere else.

My go to watch boxes are from Wolf.. they have a few without a display window.

For presents I have bought from Aspinal of London, they have a nice leather one on offer at the moment.

New to me, but considering Aevitas... check out their travel boxes too

Ooh this is almost perfect. Only thing I don't like about it is the inside of the lid (its giving me coffin vibes for some reason).

If they did a 5 watch version of this I would buy it.

Hmmm, they sell some of the same boxes as the site Andrew linked to but at cheaper prices. For example-

https://aevitas-uk.co.uk/collections/watch-boxes/p...

This is very nice indeed.

I just wish it had a push button latch rather than a lock (can you tell I am picky yet).

That ebony veneer looks like it has taken inspiration from.the standard Patek boxes - looks good!

How about this one from Aevitas?
https://aevitas-uk.co.uk/products/premium-6-watch-...

I bought one of the Aevitas 10 watch with cufflink boxes and can confirm the quality is very high, very sturdy, well made and beautifully finished.

If that had a glossy wood finish I would order it straight away. It’s got the hinges and push button latch I want (don’t understand why so many have a lock and key latch). Just not keen on the crocodile print.

Have a look on Aliexpress. Be careful in choosing but save a shed load of money.

A bit of a development. I came across a couple of forums where people had converted their big speedmaster boxes into boxes for multiple watches.

https://omegaforums.net/threads/speedmaster-moonwa...

I have one of these boxes but I am not prepared to sacrifice it as I like having the full set for my watches.

Instead, I have bought a used speedmaster box from ebay for an ok price (£150) and am going to try to make my own version of what is in the link above. My idea is to create slots for 5 or 6 watches with storage for straps/tools in a larger compartment.

If nothing else, it will give me a project to concentrate on for a couple of weeks.

The big Speedmaster box was delivered today. I must admit that I did need to pluck up a bit of courage to rip the internals out of such a nice box (that I just spent £150 buying). If I didn t have an identical box in the loft I may not have gone through with it.

The internals came out very easily though after using a spatula to separate the bond around the edges. In fact I am sure i could put them back in and nobody would ever know.

Anyway a picture says 1000 words.

That is posh. Here's mine:

Mine holds around 20 watches.

OP, don't forget to fit one of these:

You wouldn't want your burgler to drop the box and damage the watches as he's legging it down your road.

Design done and materials ordered. I’ve gone for 6mm MDF and 1mm thick felt.

On the contrary, I'm the silent majority enjoying this thread (a bit like the "who's got the best garage on Pistonheads" thread which lets me gawp in admiration without contributing anything).

FWIW, I have a Rothwell six-watch box in tan leather with a glass lid, but I appreciate it doesn't meet your needs. Seems good value for money, though.
