Good morning,
I thought this was the best section to ask for advice.
My father has a Mont Blanc pen and cd set he was given as a retirement present from his firm (many years ago)
Where should I point to for selling the above?
He is muttering about eBay, but I haven’t been hearing particularly good things about that platform recently.
Many thanks

I’ve no affiliation other than receiving good service & communications.

You could try on here - depending on the model etc. there would likely be some interest. Could be worth cross posting in the “do you use a fountain pen” thread in the lounge.

That pen is essentially the same as my MB - a 145 Meisterstuck with platinum trim and medium nib, although I bought mine second hand as a '145 Classique' in a standard MB box rather than the larger Chopin special edition one. I think the pen is exactly the same, though. As it happens, it came from the aforementioned Dylan*Stephen.

A very nice pen, although on the small side by MB standards, some of which are really rather large in the hand. They aren't worth huge money second-hand as people do want the larger size of the 146 or the (considerably larger) 149, but it's a nice pen in it's own right and perfectly usable by an average adult male sized hand (or a larger hand if you post the cap). Lovely smooth nib and completely reliable writer with the right ink.

I'm very happy with mine - I usually keep it inked with MB 'amethyst purple' and keep it in my study for use when WFH, making notes etc as I'm working.

Many thanks for the detailed reply 👌🏻
I’m trying to work out what would be a fair asking price?
Google is suggesting a price range of £150-£300 which is a fair spread…
TIA all !
