I see many watches on this forum that have left aesthetics behind, with some combination of:

Everything highly polished
Details on details on details
Two tone bling
No negative space, clutter everywhere
Oversized

Let's have a thread for classic and minimally styled watches.

Firstly, I love this Junghams Meister Classic:

Totally agree. I'm a particular fan of the Casio classic. It must have been on sale for 30 years and still costs about £10.

Some nice watches posted, particularly the Junghans and IWC, though the Vario models are excellent, especially considering the price.

Whilst not quite as classic as some, I'll put forward my Ball Fireman Enterprise, the entry level model for sure, but less complex because of it. Tritium, decent bracelet and 100m water resistance mean it can be useful in pretty much any situation.

I don’t mind contemporary design - but I need it to be purposeful, and in most instances, faithful to the ‘bloodline’ - which is why I like plain divers and fliegers as a general rule.

Simple, purposeful, robust design language.

I have one of those: or rather had, as my 19 year old son has decided it s his now and he wears it all the time. They’re lovely things.

My 17 year old has also decided that my Junkers Bauhaus automatic belongs to him, not me:





Fine by me. I am more into the diver/gmt style watches! I wasn’t massively impressed though when he borrowed my vintage Omega for a night out without telling me:
