I'm slowly working through entry level dress watches with a view to finally having something a bit nicer than my dear old Citizen Ecodrive E811 (previously looked at Bremont's H1 Audley) and I've stumbled across the following item;

I like the look of the dial, etc, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone wear a watch by this manufacture, and know nothing about them aside from the fact they seem to top out at £1,800 for thier flagship (which I also like the look of);

And that they as a company were formed in the 80's by a Dutch chap. What do you watch aficionados know? Are they worth the money, are they well made so on and so forth.

Many thanks for any replies!

I think they are great having tried on quite a few in recent times. I haven't yet purchased (not the right personal timing) but have been close and do very much like their rose gold models. I like their world timer as well.

Quality appears to be as good as the other Swiss brands at the next layer up (Omega, entry level Rolex, Panerai) but I don't know about long term.

The main issue is frankly the brand snobbery amongst watch officiandos due to the lack of history and brand cache. This means they don't hold their values at all, but you can get good discounts off new (I've been offered 25% off without even asking last time I tried one on in the US).

I'd have one for sure.

Sorry but I don't agree with the comment ... other Swiss brands at the next layer up (Omega, entry level Rolex, Panerai). I have a Yacht timer Regatta that retail for £3k but I got at £1.1 new, I'd say for £1~£1.5k your good for quality but It's not as good as the 'next layer up' Just compared against x2 Omega and certainly not Omega, surprisingly i've found the clasp was better than my Longines HydroConquest so maybe Longines level
