Nope it doesn't include polishing, we find many people don't want this done
Do you want it fully polished that means removing every single mark and dent
Or do you want a valeted that means giving it a light bluff and re-bush.
You need to check what Tag offer also as there is a big difference between the two

I'd like it to look as new again as possible which really won't take much, it's been worn only occasionally with superficial scratches on the bracelet and case... absolutely no deep scratches or dings.
I just downloaded the pdf from Tag's website and in a full service it gets stripped, cleaned, assembled, lubricated, any worn parts replaced and polished. Also then comes with a Tag 2year warranty. It seems good value for a manufacturer backed service

Sounds the same as what we do but we also give you the replacement back I just downloaded the pdf from Tag's website and in a full service it gets stripped, cleaned, assembled, lubricated, any worn parts replaced and polished. Bazza, how much for a service on a 2000 professional quartz type thing. Basically the bigger more metally version of the F1.
It’s my daily work watch and it’s errrrr 26/years old and only ever had batteries, the guy who does that suggested a service, but admittedly that he sends it to someone else.

Replacement? As in any parts that have been changed? Do you find parts that need replacing often? In all the strip down/service YouTube videos the only time I see any parts needing replaced are on watches that are broken or extremely old. I'd actually be very surprised if mine needs anything other than cleaned, re-oiled and new gasket for the stem and case backWatchthis said:

Mainspring should be replacement possibly even the barrel complete due to wear to the barrel wall, as long as the gaskets are in good shape Normally they are guess re-greased
Being it should be serviced every 5 years I'm guessing there maybe damage to the pivots of the gear train as the oil will of dried up years ago
But you can't tell till you get the parts under a microscope
I had my Monaco done last year. Gave me the option for what needed doing, and if the “plastic glass” needed replacing. Got all the inner parts back and was polished including the bracelet hardware.
Took much less time than they had initially quoted too. Expensive, but happy enough with it - came back in great condition.

Bazza- 1991 Tag F1. My wife borrowed if 20yrs ago. Dropped it and it didn't work again. How much could that be to get whatever was displaced in the movement moving again?
Or just straight replace the movement with the old face onto a seiko(?) etc
Sorry hard to say, I'd have to have a look at it Hugo Or just straight replace the movement with the old face onto a seiko(?) etc
I have mine serviced every 5 years by Tag, done directly through the UK service centre in Manchester
https://www.tagheuer.com/gb/en/contact/
It's come back both times in fantastic condition so I consider it worth the cost.

What’s the benefit of having it done every 5 years? I have only ever serviced a watch when it needs it based on time keeping / power reserve / winding action. https://www.tagheuer.com/gb/en/contact/
