Adjusting watch strap, advice please

I am about to buy online a Seiko Prospex Divers watch.... SPB483J1.
If when it is delivered and the strap needs adjusting is it easy to do and would I need a special tool?
Any help and advice would be much appreciated, thanks.

I have this kit and several Seiko watches. It’s fine for starts just take your time as it can be a bit fiddly.

Don't forget to put a drop of Loctite 221 or 222 on the end of the screw when you pop it back in, and DO NOT over tighten the screw, if the thread snaps off you will be gutted.

Just take it into your local AD and they will adjust for free.

I have a Seiko Prospex Speedmaster and needed to take ouut a couple of links. The bracelet links on mine were connected by "pin and collar" and the collars are tiny and very easy to lose. I ended up losing four collars so decided to get a Strapcode bracelet with curved end links that had screw pins. Much easier to work with.

If it is a pin and collar system this graphic explains things.

It's for the Monster bracelet the collar can sometimes be in the centre link but the procedure is broadly the same.
