Tissot PRS516 - repair or replace movement?
Discussion
Folks, I’m looking for a little advice ref to my Tissot PRS516 it’s approx 20 years old, it’s a chrono on metal bracelet.
Unfortunately the metal bracelet broke and the watch dropped onto a tarmac pavement (3 feet). The crystal is completely fine however the rotor now appears to be stuck and no longer rotates. I can manually wind the watch and it keeps time as before. The watch was a gift so has personal value to me.
Does anyone know approx cost of repairing the watch? Would I be best to buy a replacement movement (ETA) ?
Thanks in advance.

Sorry for stalking but you never replied, ….
I asked end of October and it’s rained a lot since then ….
Please pm if you don’t wish to share publicly, I couldn’t send you a message although the invitation was their.
quote=Halo in reverse]We owned a MINI Roadster for about 18 months, not a bad car until it leaked.
Turned out the leak was caused by a blocked drain pipe from the roof. It was a real pain to get to the blocked pipe to unblock it. A real carp design by the engineers.
I know how to unblock it so please feel free to message me when your Roadster drainage pipe gets blocked (which it will).
In the end we were pleased to sell it on (leak fixed).

From what little I've learnt the automatic movement sits on top of the standard movement so one can work without the other. Depending on the movement it shouldn't be too hard to replace it, either entirely or just the auto part. If you watch some of wristwatch revival on YT he quite often shows the auto movement coming off fairly early on in the process.Unfortunately the metal bracelet broke and the watch dropped onto a tarmac pavement (3 feet).
