I have mine named on my household insurance its usually far cheaper.
HOWEVER most insurers will ordinarily have a relatively low limit for 'valuables' so you possibly need to look away from the mainstream insurers.
That said, i went with NFU though my existing safe wasn't deemed good enough as the cash rating wasn't high enough to include the latest addition so i had to buy a new safe too. Probably no bad thing though.
I got quoted £700 for 1 watch at near £30k by a dedicated watch insurer. My household insurer covers all watches, all jewellery (& all specified !) for not much more plus of course the house and contents too.
Simple rule is they are covered if on my wrist or in my safe so decent coverage. I can't take my watch off unless I'm putting it in the safe but at least I have cover for holidays by wearing 1 and leaving the rest at home in safe.

That's interesting, thanks. I don't have a Richard Mille, but most of the mainstream insurers top out at £10k per watch - I'll have a look at NFUM!HOWEVER most insurers will ordinarily have a relatively low limit for 'valuables' so you possibly need to look away from the mainstream insurers.

Cheers!
Once your specified valuables start exceeding about £30k to £50k you have to rule out the mainstream insurers.
I wear a date just as my daily watch and have had it near 20 years now. Its worth about £5k if I were selling it but the insurers insist I list it at full new replacement cost which is about £14k so you can very quickly exceed those insurer limits.
A couple of nice watches for him, maybe 1 for her plus a nice engagement ring, couple of pairs of earrings and yup insurance suddenly starts to be an issue.
NFU were very helpful for me but I did need a new safe but that's just a 1 off cost
