My Pasha and the Wife’s Tank were both cash purchases, but that was a long time ago before we had a child and my vocation was more….. adventurous.
Many of my used watches have been under £250, with the odd one approaching £500. I might use PayPals ‘pay-in-3’ for those, I might not, depending on finances at the time.
I popped into Goldsmiths yesterday with my daughter to have a look at 35mm Cartier Pashas and Chopard Happy Sports depending on her continued good behaviour, attitude and attainment at school.
Goldsmiths are offering 3 years 0% with 10% deposit. Were I to purchase my daughter a nice watch for her birthday next year, and such finance offers were still available, I’d certainly be taking advantage of the 0% deal, but it was stressed to me that there wouldn’t be anything off of the rrp on either brand.

I paid for my Pam & my Speedy racing with cash in the bank, but I could have had 4 years at 0% with minimal deposit on the Omega.
With hindsight, I think that leaving money in the bank & taking advantage of 0% finance for something like an expensive watch is the better option.
Was there a decent deal to be done on the Omega in lieu of taking the 0% offer? With hindsight, I think that leaving money in the bank & taking advantage of 0% finance for something like an expensive watch is the better option.

I didn't bother asking, at the time Omega didn't have stock, so it was boutique only and I was in the right place at the right time.I was given the usual Wolf watch winder and a bottle of Omega branded Bollinger to go with it though.

Owts better than a smack in the mouth.I was given the usual Wolf watch winder and a bottle of Omega branded Bollinger to go with it though.
My husband bought himself a Rolex Deep-Sea and a Sea-Dweller 4000 for me when his father died using a small inheritance.
I think a nice watch is a lovely thing to buy for a man using inheritance. We both wear them every day, it’s a nice reminder of where they came from and they should last a lifetime.

There’s never been the option of finance whenever I’ve bought anything from Pragnell. I’d have probably done 0% if they mentioned it.
They do offer it now online, high apr even when rates were low. I'm glad they don't though as I'd have brought alot more stuff on finance. My first expensive watch was via finance from Goldsmiths. The rest have been via savings.
