I’ve a genuine JLC ostrich strap that is becoming beautifully patinated. But the leather lining is becoming worn and torn.

Can anyone think of a way of making an in-house repair?

I have considered bonding on a leather strip and re-punching it.

Maybe give https://www.steveostraps.com/ a shout, I am sure he would re-work your existing strap with a new lining (or whatever.)

Plenty of "How to" videos on youtube.
Bit of napa leather, cheap leather workers starter kit from ebay, some leather working needles, a roll of nylon top stitch thread, two dollops of pva and Robert's a Parental sibling.
