Do you watch people wear other jewellery (aside from wedding ring?).

I don't really, aside from the below. They have no function but I bought the Omega sailing bracelet a couple of years ago with a Seamaster and I quite like it. Tend not to get dressed up these days but don't wear them when I do.

I'd imagine the bracelet gains rizz points at the yoga retreat in Thailand but no, just the wedding band. Don't even like cufflinks, just prefer the normal buttons, probably me just getting old.

Only a wedding band.

Oh, and a tiny diamond stud in my ear that I've had since 1996. A memento from my time in the Arava Desert. smile

Edited for phone typo!

It's woven rope, not a 'bracelet'. Does a 'sailing bracelet' serve some function when it's not on the wrist?

No use that I can think of...

(Omega call it a bracelet)

I guess in the same way as most jewellery serves no purpose.

Hmm I think jewellery made of precious stones, precious metal serves the purpose of making the wearer feel alluringly presented/like a status symbol of sorts maybe. Private taxi drivers and waiters wear Rolex for a reason, I suppose they feel members of a club.... Does your rope make you feel special at all? biggrin

Not for me no. I always feel (personally) it skates a bit close to looking like a poor parody of Richard Rawlings / Johnny Depp / Captain Jack Sparrow, but if it works for you go for it! beer

(Some of my negativity will come from having spent most of my life in a workshop where you can't wear jewellery anyhow. Here watch this H&S video where the skin is removed from a hand like a glove due to wearing a ring / watch etc etc...)

Wedding band, a nice diamond in each ear & occasionally an Omega Seamaster blue rubber bracelet on the right wrist.

Also a necklace & dog tag that belonged to my dad. Not taken off since he died in ‘86.

4 piercings, a wristwatch, 2 rings, 2 large mineral bead bracelets and a pendant. Sometimes more rings, sometimes less rings. Sometimes a chain instead of my pendant necklace. Sometimes more or less bracelets. I guess I'm a Johnny Depp wannabe (rofl)

Just a coat of arms, a shield, helm, greave, gorget, vambraces and spaulders. And some WD40.

I always try not to post negative things in these threads but......biglaugh
I've always wondered why men have these sorts of string/rope around their wrists or necks. Some weirdos (usually beach type dudes) have them around their ankles as well.

Some men can carry off some nice jewellery ie a diamond ear stud, gold chain etc, it can look quite nice...but bits of string/rope, I just don’t get it.

That's the beauty of us all being different I guess.

I'm sure any travelling companions share your patience at airport security.
