I own the two Datejusts below -

116200 steel bezel. Rhodium dial. Jubilee bracelet.

116234 white gold bezel. Oyster bracelet. Grey tuxedo dial.

I’d like to swap the dials around and put the rhodium dial with the DJ with the white gold bezel.

Can anyone recommend a watch maker who could do this for me? I am in North Wales so preferably in the North West so can deliver the watches in person.

TIA.

There is a chap called Joe (I think) who trades as Anglesey watches and is well regarded on here. Holyhead I think. Near you?

Just to conclude this thread, I found a great watchmaker, Kane Hughes, based in Prestatyn in Denbighshire. -

I was able to drop the watches off in person and collect the following day. Great service at a very reasonable price.

Bazza - I appreciate your kind offer, I just don’t have the time to trek to Birmingham at the moment!

Out of interest bazza: I've got a JLC Reverso duo face, which runs +20/day OTW and I've prefer it was within +5 (but absolutely not a - number). Is that something you could sort for me, whilst I went shopping around the Quarter?

Sounds like it may need a service how old is it Louis?
We are right in the middle of moving to a much bigger shop but still in the Jewellery Quarter
So we are incredibly busy at the moment

It came back fresh from a JLC service running like that. But I was too idle to send it back.

Don't worry, I will wait until the next service is due.

They haven’t swapped the dials, it looks like they’ve swapped the bezel and straps as the hands still match the original dials.

I agree it’s a good move by the way.

The hands would have gone with the dials.

Ah. Why’s that?

Ah. Why’s that?
Because Rolex does that. Hand type is matched to dial type.

I swapped the dials and handsets over, and then put the jubilee bracelet on the case with the white gold fluted bezel.

The handsets are different. The handset with the tuxedo dial has a sliver of lume on each hand.

Gotcha. Looks good, I know which one I’d always wear.

I didn't expect them both to look better!

This one, though, has come out remarkably handsome.
