Hi All

Been a while since I have posted, but wanted to get some advice.

Looking at purchasing my first 'proper watch'. I lost my father recently and he always liked watches, I wanted to get something as a reminder of him.

There is a small independent watch shop in my local area, its been going since 2022. They have a Black Bay 58 in Blue. Its gorgeous , a 2020 watch with box etc.

Whats the best way for my to verify the watch is a tudor during the purchasing, sorry if this is a stupid question, I want to support smaller businesses.

Many thanks for any advice.

Sorry to hear about your loss, I only started wearing watches after my dad died because he had 2 (Rolex) and me and my sister inherited them.

Did you manage to get any of your dads watches?

One way would be to get a watch maker or maybe even the company to open the back for you and to have a look, but saying that "superclones" are getting better and better these days, to be honest I'd be taking the watch to the Rolex service centre in London and asking them to take a look.

and before somebody comes a long and says nobody does superclones of Tudor watches, I've seen loads of them advertised recently around the £400 mark.

Likely you will have resolved this by now, but it you are still looking, I may be parting with mine.

Rarely worn, full set. Late 2020 IIRC

PM me if you are interested
