Are discounts for TAGs still a thing? What is the level people have achieved recently?

Thanks.

Discount is available for cash on full priced watches without finance (a colleague was asking at a shop the other day) don’t know how much but 20% would be a good starting point - Swiss Watches Direct have this as a discount.

is there any knock on effect of buying through a discounted shop like Swiss Watches Direct over a standard approved dealer? I mean will I be able to get a standard warranty and any manufacturer repairs done and such like?

You can view the stock and prices at Bicester on WhatsApp.

I bought from there a couple of months ago after offering WOS £2k for a ladies Tag with an rrp of £2350. They said they couldn’t discount by that much (I got a much better deal at Bicester).

TAG
Bremont
Breitling
Tissot
&
Watchfinder

in 2018 I bought my Tag from Chronext.

Brand new, not sure what the warranty was, but I was not disappointed. I found a 10% discount code and got an F1 Ceramic bezel chrono quartz for less than £1,150 - IIRC they were £1,500 everywhere else at the time and are more again now.

Here is what I bought - RRP definitely gone up.

I got 10% off mine at Goldsmiths... but to be honest would just go grey market next time, much better discounts there, up to the 20-35% range.

By chance was in the Tag shop in Cheshire Oaks discount centre today, they had for example the Autavia that came out in 2017 for £3400, with its RRP being £6200, similar discounts were available on the other watches, though mostly these were new but older, often discontinued models.

Thanks chaps, I worked out how to look at the TH Bicester catalogue and saw some suitable options.

Has anyone managed to get discount from an outlet TH before? Not that it matters hugely.

Check for cash back with your bank. Lloyds has had 10% cash back if spending over £100 before now and it worked on sale items etc. there are also some schemes you can sign up to

The online multibrand retailers are good for discounts - email their customer service team, tell them the watch you are ready to buy and ask what their best price is. With a bit of back and forth you should be able to get 15-20% off depending on brand/model.

Bicester often give away various VIP / discount cards worth up to 10% off ,sometimes when you just ask at the visitor centre or whatever it’s called.
Porsche club membership for example I think also gets you 10% off.
But not every Retailer accepts the card or gives a further discount.
Costs nothing to try though.

I tried that with Goldsmiths and they laughed at my 20% ask... said 10% "may be possible"

Did you then “ agree “ on 15%?!
