Casually browsing YouTube this morning and to my surprise it suggested a relatively recent Urban Gentry video. I've not seen or heard anything of TGV for a couple of years since there were rumours that someone else had bought the channel and decided they didn't want him to front it and more and that he was "looking for a job".

Obviously that didn't happen, does anyone know what went on? I know he divides opinion but personally I quite enjoy his presenting style and find his videos informative.

I've tried my best with the channel, but I really don't connect with the inane stuff (That dinosaur etc..).

I've watched his reviews on specific models I've been interested in.. but overall not for me.

I haven’t watched anything from him since he went to WatchBox (as it was then) to annoy Tim Musso.

Surprised he is still going to be honest.

Did he not go down the "lifestyle" route? Maybe appealing to the younger audiences?

His older videos he's speaking like an English gent explaining his Family crest on his signet ring. While in some of his recent videos I've seen him in Stone Island jackets and Boss trainers looking like a geezer.

The whole ‘landed gentry’, cygnet ring, posh voice was always an exaggerated character - he was putting a lot of that on.

There was always an element of the geezer not far beneath it all.
