Moonwatch Help
Discussion
Fellas. Opinion required!
So my head has been turned by this:
I have the regular moonwatch (hesalite, model before the current one, ~2019) which I love. This is obviously the same fundamentally but with a little bit extra.
Spoken to WF and I can chop in my moonwatch + B&M Clifton Baumatic + ~400 quid for this. Trade-in prices for both watches very good in comparison to what I paid and WF will give 7% off to honour a sale price which ended by the time I called (at least they would today, might not after my customary fannying!).
My thoughts “for” are that I love the watch with the added moon phase complication and it is considerably rarer than the normal watch. It also seems well-priced having looked on C24.
“Against” is the fact the B&M was my wedding watch and I love the originality and pureness of the hesalite moonwatch.
Decisions, decisions. Thoughts? Anyone own the moon phase one btw?

I wouldn't, for me a "proper" Moonwatch is the only Speedmaster I'd want, and other than very minor variation like a sapphire sandwich vs hesalite, the others have little appeal, so if you already own one, I'd not understand you considering changing it.
But, personal taste! No one else can tell you what you like.

I was in a similar position. I have a 2018 Moonwatch that was my engagement present and wedding watch and I had the chance to get a Snoopy 50th at a decent price. I love Snoopy and really like the 50th model, but in the end I decided against it.
The Snoopy wasn't significantly different and after consideration the Moonwatch meant too much to me to let it go. If it was "just a watch" then I probably would have gone for it.

For me it is also a no. The speedmaster you already have is the one to have in any collection. The moonphase does nothing for me except detract from the looks. I am also not a fan of the display case back. Never understood the point in them. It would be like putting a glass bonnet on a car.
Selling your wedding watch also sounds like something you may regret in the future.

Sensible.
Deciding whether or not to sell a wedding watch is not about weighing its sentimental value to you against its cash value. It is about understanding the hurt that the perceived lack of reverence for all things related to your nuptials will inflict upon your life-partner and deciding if the inevitable backlash is survivable!
