Hi All,

Just after a bit of help or advice with this watch please. I've had this for about 15 years and in that time its had three or four battery changes and all has been good.

Unfortunately the movement has now stopped working completely. I've tried a new battery and the second hand started moving but not cleanly and it soon stopped.

There a couple of watch shops in Peterborough which I tried. The first didn't look at it, and I don;t think were interested, but said it would need to go away and it they estimated a bill of hundred(s). The second shop is a national watch repair chain who had the watch the watch for a week but gave it back saying the movement is broken and it needs replacing. No charge for their time so I cannot complain at their service.

Any ideas what I can do next? I've had a google / ebay and I cannot mach the movement ID to anything similar. Ideally I would like to get it fully working but if there was an option to just have the time going then that would be better than nothing.

Thanks in advance for any help smile
p

Have you tried Watch Lab - my local one was very good recently for me.

This looks to be a replacement movement for you OP.
