Cloudflare isin the way now, presumably to reduce the impact from bots etc. Going in via the web is fine, but that doesn't help you with Tapatalk.

Well I'd take it as a wake-up call & start using a password manager before you lose access to something important.

I also lost my username/email and all that jazz and had been reading it not logged in... Now it says, despite being not logged in, I am permanently banned when I load up my link! Something changed a month or two back!

No, I imagine the owner is as much as a knobber as he has always been.

Aye, I've tried joining many times over the last 12 years, its always closed to new members citing some BS excuse.

"Sorry, due to the high number of bogus registration attempts registration has been temporarily disabled by the administrator."

Its been that message for over a decade

Its just an echo chamber full of the owners mates, pity as I know it has an awesome private sale classified watches section.

There is a “type” of forum of which this is an example, where the owner appears to thrive on toadying members who suck up to them and laugh at their jokes.

There is a classic Porsche forum I could mention that operates on the same basis.

The shame of it being they are actually good sites, but when the owners are running them mostly to receive adulation that they wouldn’t enjoy in real life they become toxic.

I have been a member since 2016, when I needed some help with a watch repair.

I can't say I have ever witnessed any of the behaviour you mention.

I go on there for Sales Corner only, it’s responsible for a large amount of cash I no longer have - so I can’t comment on cliques etc but there are certainly a few ‘characters’

I was shocked when I first went on the for sale board , I thought it would just be watches , it’s actually anything you want to sell not just watches

I sold a bicycle that needed a total rebuild as an example.
