SMP - How many bracelet links on each side?
Discussion
I took my Omega Seamaster 2254.50 to get half a link taken out of the bracelet today. I asked for the owner of the jewellers to do the work as he has done a good job with my watches in the past and I have have had other jewellers scratch up my watches before.
I took the watch in with 4.5 links on the 12 o'clock side and 4 links on the other side. I presumed they would simply take out the 1/2 link to leave me with 4 links on each side. I've had it like this before and it felt fine.
Anyway, I got the watch back and I have just noticed that I now have 5 links at 12 and 3 links at 6 o'clock. (OCD alert!) He must have gone to far greater effort to do it this way.
I was about to take it back to get the number of links evened out, but I had a quick google and noticed that many people opt for more links at the 12 o'clock side.
It’s a little too early to tell if the comfort has improved or not. Has the guy made a mistake, or done me a favour?
