Rolex Steel & White Gold Sky-Dweller - release date...?

Hi Knowledgeable folks of Pistonheads - Does anyone know when the Steel/White Gold Sky-Dwellers are likely to be in the UK shops?

I asked my Rolex Dealer to put me down for one - but I have no idea what the demand is for one and how many Rolex are likely to produce.

I hope there is little demand and Rolex make a shed-load for my own selfish point of view - so that it is readily available.

From what I understand, it's going to be very sought after, as with all stainless Rolexes currently.

I'd expect you'll have a wait unless you have a good relationship with your AD. August/Sept should be when they're rolled out.

Thanks - I was kind of hoping that in being a bi-metal it would not carry the usual clamour and lust and that I would simply be able to buy a watch without having to jump over a broomstick five times.

Well, lets see what my Authorised Dealer has to say. Fingers crossed.

That watch is all stainless - the white gold is the fluted bezel. The bi metal version with the gold mid will probably be easier to come by, although these are the first time they're not in precious metal, so may sell like hot cakes.

Thanks for the clarification - I kind of guessed that the White Gold element would just be the bezel and maybe even the winder.
