I've fancied a new watch for a while now. I already have an Omega Seamaster so want more of a dress watch and have recently seen this:

I really like the look of it but I'm not sure whether it's decent value or not.

What are people's views?

Lovely. I have two in my collection.

A legend diver

& a historic Conquest re-release dress watch.

Is it a ladies watch? It doesn't obviously look like it but the "will it fit" link shows it modelled by a female.

I recently purchased a similar watch from DominicH which I'm very pleased with:

It's fine for men or women - I bought one exactly the same for my girlfriend at Christmas, but I wear it occasionally and it looks good with a suit. I don't think it would work if you've got big wrists, but I have skinny arms so the size (36mm?) works ok for me.

It's a nice watch, and very reasonably priced. The only downside is that the date sometimes looks a bit odd being at 12 o clock, and the domed plexiglass scratches very easily.

Also, the black leather strap is not brilliant; it would look a lot better with a brown crocodile strap I think.

Is that because we have become conditioned to expect it at 3? Looks ok to me.

Yes I suppose so. Or 6 o'clock.

It looks ok to me too, it's just different, it's the only watch I've ever seen with a date window at 12.

Imagine how odd it would look if the date window was at 9 o'clock

That's not the same watch though. See my link above.

It's a mans watch.....40mm.

Ok. I see what you mean, I thought the question "is it a woman's watch?" Was referring to the photos of the heritage dress watch directly above.
