[Light n Hairy]

Thinking of getting the missus one of these. They look as good as cartiers but with a more exclusive cachet, but I dont know anything else about them. Does anyone have knowledge or experience of them to share pls? Ta in advance.

With any of the "never heard of them" makers (well, I haven't) unless it's pulling at your heart strings in a major, major, way I'd consider future resale with your head.

If money doesn't matter, go for it. But if you think it even remotely possible she may wish to change it at a later date think how you'd feel when it's not worth as much as you hoped, and is difficult to shift due to its exclusivity?

As for exclusivity, it depends whether she (and you) prefer to be in an aloof club where one in a million onlookers recognise her watch as "something special" or, like me, prefer to be more common, shallow and "showy" with an extremely well known brand on the wrist which shouts "look I've got one of these so I'm great" as with Rolex and Cartier?

The modest and subtle part of me still has a hankering for a Zenith rather than another Rolex but if we're honest most of us mortal folk buy high end watches to portray an image of success beamed into our brains by the brand marketeers. I certainly seem to be mesmerised in this way, but I greatly salute anyone who has escaped this type of hypnotic trance, and so if that is you buy it quick before they get to you!

But... make sure she's gonna like it first or BIG ROW!!
