Any suggestions on best places to make it look like the before picture and how much it's likely to cost?
Usually £200 minimum just to get it looked at before any work gets done. If it was me i'd probably look at getting a new bezel and strap and just get any scratches on the glass polished out.

If I may slightly hijack the thread with a similar query, my Seamaster must be about 5 years old now and is in good nick and keeping good time.
Should I service it anyway? I suppose I'm asking if there's any advantage to preventative servicing or is it better to wait until it starts misbehaving?
Also, is this a 'back to Omega' job or am I as well going to a cheaper independent?
Thanks!

Personally I would say it depends on if it's a Co-Axial or not and how much you care about the watch being in top condition. If it's an earlier model with a cal 1120 I would be happy to leave it another couple of years. If it's a Co-Axial I'd send it to either Omega or an indy specialist you trust with co-axials as the escape wheel can wear if not lubricated correctly and isn't especially cheap to replace.Should I service it anyway? Having just said that, it's not as though Omega are going to stop supporting their movements any time soon, so even if you wear i till it grinds itself to a halt in 5/10/whatever years it'll still be fixable.
